Linkedin Profile Organizer and Killer Traffic Tip - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career
Linkedin Profile Organizer and Killer Traffic Tip - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career Linkedin announced some new functionality this week with its new Profile Organizer. Now you have the ability to save profiles, organize your connections into folders, and add notes to any or all of your connections. Pretty cool stuff! Linkedin is currently offering a free 30 day trial for anyone who would like to try out Profile Organizer after that it will only be available to premium members. I personally think this feature should be free but Linkedin is trying to find ways to monetize itself to produce a profit and I cant argue with that. The ways to use Linkedin to your advantage and the added functionality are growing every few months if you are not on Linkedin, as soon as you are done reading this post, head over to LinkedIn and create your profile. In a way, if you are not on Linkedin, you do not exist to the others on the Linkedin network, and you will miss out on any opportunities that could have come your way via Linkedin. And in a competitive job market and digital economy you should be doing everything in your advantage to get ahead. Bloggers get linked And for all you bloggers out there here is an awesome tip to drive some extra targeted traffic to your blog using LinkedIn. Through using the groups feature on Linkedin join as many groups as possible that have communities around your niche. If your niche is personal branding search for personal branding groups, if your thing is inbound marketing search for those groups there is pretty much a group for everything on LinkedIn and if you cant find yours, create your own group. Once you have joined the groups related to your niche you can post your blog posts under the news tab. You will see an immediate uptick in targeted traffic over the next few days to your blog and since they are interested in your niche you should pick up some new subscribers as well. The more groups you join and consistently post your new blog articles in the news section the more sustained traffic you will see. Have a great weekend!
